They are skilled hunters, who can bring down both large and small animals. True to its origins as a hunter, the Afghan Hound can think on its feet. They are strong-willed and independent, and sometimes aloof.
The Afghan Hound is a high maintenance dog. Weekly grooming is essential , along with a bath, to maintaining the Afghan’s coat. These dogs require plenty of exercise.
