Description

Named after the city of origin, the Boston Terrier is an all American breed. This dog is easily recognized by its tight tuxedo jacket, compact body, and the large friendly round eyes. The breed’s nickname is the “American Gentleman” and aptly so because of its  dapper looks and gentle mannerly disposition. Another interesting fact about their name is that the Boston Terrier is not in the Terrier Group. Since their background and history are so diverse and their function and work purpose can not be grouped in in the usual AKC classifications, this  lovable breed has been placed in the non-specific Non-Sporting.
