Description
A green turtle is one of the largest hard-shelled turtles. They are unique because they are plant eating, and their diet consists mostly of sea grass and algae. But their common name does not come from the color of their skin or shell, they are called green turtles because of their greenish colored fat and cartilage. That cartilage and fat get their coloration from the turtle’s diet. Green turtles live world wide in coastal areas. This figurine has the green turtle skimming across the top of a wave. Its flippers are extended and flapping. Great attention has been given to detail, so this marine animal almost looks alive. It is 5 inches tall and 3.5 inches wide.
