Description

When you see a snowy owl, it will be perfectly clear how this bird most got its name.  A snowy owl is described as a white bird with varying amounts of black or brown markings on the body and wings. These large owls mainly live in the open treeless areas of the Arctic.They have catlike yellow eyes. When hunting, snowy owls generally cruise low to the ground. Once they spot their prey, they swoop down and  snatch it up with their  large sharp claws on their feet. This rendering of a snowy owl has a lot of detail in the wings and tail.
